UNIFORMS ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR PRE-K AND KINDERGARTEN
Parents are expected to assist their children in following the dress code. It will be vigorously enforced starting the first day of school. Students must come to, and leave school dressed properly, including shirttails being tucked in and pants resting on the waist. Parents will be called if a child comes to school improperly attired and will be required to provide proper clothing or take the child home.

Dress Code - Girls Grades 1-8
#49 plaid jumper or skirt - skirt length is to be no more than 1" above the knee Navy blue jumper, skirt, skort, or dress slacks (skirt, skort length to be no more than 1" above the knee) White collared blouse, polo shirt, or turtleneck Navy blue or white anklets, socks, or leotards Pantyhose may be worn by girls in grades 5-8 Light makeup and nail polish may be used by girls in grades 5-8 Small earrings may be worn by girls in all grades
Dress Code - Boys Grades 1-8
Navy blue or black dress slacks in a poly/cotton or cord material White dress shirt, polo shirt, or turtleneck Black or brown belt, if slacks have belt loops Navy blue, black, or white socks
All Students
Shoes - Saddle, oxford, dock side, loafer in navy blue, black or brown heel not to exceed 1" in height Sweaters - Navy blue solid color long sleeve crew or V-neck Sweatshirt material is unacceptable. Vests - Navy blue solid color V-neck or crew neck Waistlines - Shirts for boys and tops for girls are to be neatly tucked in at the waist. Slacks are to be worn at the waist and may not rest on the hips.
Chapel Day Dress
Girls - Girls must wear white BLOUSES and jumpers, skirts, skorts or dress slacks on Chapel days. Boys - Boys must wear white dress shirts and ties on Chapel days. All - Navy blue sweaters or may be worn on Chapel days.
Gym Days and Warm/Cold Weather
Gym Days - Grades 1-8 Gray sweatshirt or T-shirt imprinted with the Immanuel Lutheran School logo. Navy blue sweatpants or jersey knit or mesh shorts. Sneakers must be worn on gym day.
Warm Weather When KYW News Radio 1060 predicts the temperature to be 75º or above students may elect to wear the OFFICIAL gym shorts and T-shirt. This does not apply on Wednesdays.
Cold Weather On days of extreme cold, students may elect to wear their gym sweatshirt - gray with ILS logo - in class. Only the OFFICIAL gym sweatshirt is acceptable. Sweatshirts MAY NOT be worn in Chapel.
